Meals
Our congregate dining sites provide hot nutritious meals for senior adults in a group setting at meal locations throughout Aiken County. Each site provides recreational and health awareness activities, as well as guest speakers, to supply our senior population with information, education, fellowship, and resources for other services to meet their needs. In some cases, transportation can be provided to and from the site each day. Our meals meet one-third of the recommended daily allowance for nutrition for people over the age of 60.

The Best friend express is a public transit service that operates throughout Aiken's urbanized area. Alternatively 5311 Transportation provides individualized rides to clients 60 years and older in all rural areas of Aiken county. (request must be made 5 business days before)

Wellness Programs
Provides enrichment during every meal in order to combat depression in seniors. Many seminars, discussions and workshops are also provided to stimulate seniors and promote health and wellness.

Description of Organization
By providing meals, transportation, and social interaction to older adults, Aiken Senior Life Services – a private, charitable nonprofit organization established in 1971 – allows Aiken County seniors to gracefully age in place.
Aiken Senior Life Services, in partnership with Meals on Wheels America, provides a hot, nutritious meal to any senior who is unable to leave their home or who has difficulty preparing a meal. These meals are delivered by volunteers that provide important social interaction to homebound seniors. These visits, which serve as important “wellness checks,” often turn into lasting friendships.
